Description

Chassis No. WP0ZZZ99Z1S690315 Engine No. 63121761 Transmission No. 2003592The 911 GT3, which received its name from the FIA GT3 category of production sports car racing, masterfully combines motorsport engineering with road legality. The first generation (996) arrived at the turn of the Millennium as the spiritual successor to the 911 Carrera RS as a true driver's car. The GT3 thrilled the motoring press on the track while at the same time it remained fully suited for enjoyable everyday road use.Under the rear spoiler, a 3.6-liter flat-six derived from the 911 GT1 that won Le Mans in 1998 produced an impressive 360 naturally-aspirated PS-60 more than the base 911 Carrera-delivering immediate performance and the raw, mechanical character of earlier air-cooled 911s. The 2001 model year introduced an upgraded Getrag G96/90 transmission with cable shift, providing precise, engaging shifts that emphasize its track-focused design.Assembled by Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, the GT3 pairs this engineering excellence with a striking visual presence: its special “Aerokit Cup” body kit and dual-plane rear wing make it instantly recognizable to any enthusiast. The 996-generation 911 is the first developed as a GT3 and became one of the first production cars to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes, a milestone that solidified its sporting reputation. Since its 1999 debut, the Porsche 911 GT3 has set the benchmark for track-oriented sports cars, defining driver expectations for performance, precision, and the pure thrill of the drive.Built and first registered in 2000, finished in classic Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior, this 2001 model year GT3 wears perhaps the most timeless color combination of them all. First delivered via Autoimport Abruzzo (now Centro Porsche Pescara) in December 2000, this Italian-market example was ordered with stainless steel door entry guards and air conditioning, complementing the GT3's standard motorsport-derived features, including its red-painted Brembo brake calipers, multi-piece 18-inch SportDesign wheels, Cup Aerokit, and Recaro sport seats. Its service book reveals more than 25 years of Italian ownership and dealer servicing over 72,711 kilometers. Most recently, Porsche Preparazioni Orlando Redolfi of Pedrengo-an outfit chosen by none other than Toto Wolff to further his racing career in the FIA GT World Championship-carried out an engine oil and filter service in July 2026.Furthermore, according to internal Porsche paperwork, this motorsport-derived track star retains its original matching-numbers Mezger flat-six and six-speed manual transmission. From the 911 that coined the now-immortal GT3 model name, this particular first-generation 911 GT3 is offered with an impressive service history, its matching-numbers drivetrain, and a highly desirable specification that perfectly captures the purity of Porsche's original road-going track weapon.
